The driver of a Hyundai car that overturned on the Long Island Expressway
early Thursday morning was hospitalized with serious injuries, police and fire officials said. The car collided with the rear of a tractor-trailer truck near Exit 56, Route 111Suffolk County fire officials said the victim, whose identity was not released, was taken by East Brentwood Ambulance to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore after the crash at 2 a.m. on the eastbound.
